Третий подряд тест на беременность 16-летней школьницы Джуно (Эллен Пейдж) не оставляет места для сомнений и оправданий – первый сексуальный опыт с другом Бликером не только подарил парочке массу новых впечатлений, но и стал началом новой для них жизни. Однако девушка-подросток ещё слишком молода для роли мамы. Единственный выход – найти порядочную бездетную семью, и после родов отдать новорожденного жаждущим сюсюканий и промокших пеленок людям. Таковыми являются Ванесса (Дженнифер Гарнер) и Марк Лоринги (Джейсон Бейтман), заключающие с Джуно соответствующий договор.
