О фильме: Тридцатые годы XX века. Мир находится в хаосе. В северо-восточной Азии корейский полуостров захвачен японскими империалистами. Множество корейцев, спасаясь от оккупантов, стекается в Маньчжурию, обширные земли лошадей и степей, граничащую с их родиной и Китаем. Некоторые из них неминуемо становяться бандитами, чтобы раздобыть себе пропитание на этой бесплодной пустоши.
Тхэ Гу — вор. Однажды он грабит военный японский поезд, но все не так банально, как может показаться на первый взгляд. В самый разгар этой ожесточенной перестрелки с японцами к нему попадает таинственная карта, которая ведет к сокровищам династии Цин, спрятанным где-то в Маньчжурии.
Вдобавок к этому, карту также пытается заполучить хладнокровный убийца, Чан И. Тхэ Гу должен сражаться не только с японцами, но и с ним и его головорезами, которые атаковали поезд в тоже время, что и он. В конце напряженной перестрелки буквально из ниоткуда появляется таинственный человек и спасает Тхэ Гу.
